The Renfrew Jr. B. Timberwolves came into existence in 1968 as The Renfrew Lions, sponsored by The Renfrew Lions Club and captured their first Eastern Ontario Championship that year.

     In the early 70’s, Renfrew’s junior team became The Wolves and has since captured 4 other Eastern Ontario titles: 1977, 1988, 1990 and 1993.

     Banners on the wall at Mateway Arena also include 8 Valley Champs and 4 Boxing Day Champs which all attest to the success that the team has enjoyed over the years and a number of former stars have gone on to University, Semi-pro, or Professional Teams.

     The franchise itself is a non-profit organization run by a hard working volunteer executive. It has provided countless hours of entertaining hockey for fans in The Ottawa Valley and has contributed financially to many local businesses.

     This year we are pleased to announce that we have a new corporate sponsor, Bonnechere Excavating Inc. This company is managed by Barry Enright and we hope to do him and our whole community proud this season.
